The Lawrence Borough Council invite TENDERS lor the PURCHASE of~ • (1) 30 DEBENTURES of £100 each, being ' the amount required to be borrowed for tho Repayment of an Existing Loan, maturing on 2Sth February, 1901. (2)'50 DEBENTURES of £100 each, being • ' the amount required to be borrowed lor the purpose of Lighting the Borough of Lawrence with Electricity. Tenderers to state the rate of interest required. The Debentures will bo for the term of twpnty-one years, from the 2Sth February, 1901. Interest thereon will be payable half-yearly on the gpth August and 28th February in each year. Principal and interest may be made payable in Dnnedin or Lawrence 1 at the option of the holders. The security for the loans will be the rents and revenue of the Borough of Lawrence, and each Debenture and each coupon thereof is a debt of the corporation to the holders thereof.
