(Received August 9, at 10.45 p.m.) Lord Hopetoun will be banqueted at the Hotel Cecil on October 3 prior to his departure to assume the Governor-generalship of the Australian. Commonwealth. Mr Chamberlain will preside. A warship will convey Lord Hopetoun from Fremantle to Sydney.
ALBANY, August 9. (Received August 10, at 0.35 a.m.) The steamer Ortona has arrived with Mr Barton and the other Federal delegates as passengers.
