NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a MEETING of the Council of the Borough of South Dunedin will be held at the Council Chambers, South Dunedin, on the 27th day of AUGUST, 1900, for the PURPOSE of CONFIRMING a RESOLUTION (to operate as a special order) passed at a Special Meeting of the said Council held on the 23rd day of July, 1900, and which Resolution is in the words and figures following: — " That for the purpose o* paying off the special loan of five thousand pounds which is to become due on the first day of November, 1900, the Council of the Borough of South Dunedin raise a special loan of five thousand pounds on the security of the general rates of the said borough, to be repayable on the first day of November, 1921, and to bear interest at the rate of four pounds per centum per annum, payable half-yearly,' on every first day of May and first day of November; and that,. for the purpose of securing s.he payment of the said loan and interest, SO debentures for £100 each be issued, with separate coupons attached thereto, for each half-year's interest; and that the principal and interest securc-d by such debentures shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand in Dunedin, Chrisiclnirch, Wellington, or Auckland.
