Some fifty householders were present at tha election of the committee for the Eorbiiry School, Apologies for uou-attendance Were received from Messrs T. Smith aud "W. J Burk.

On the motion of Mr Thomas, seconded by Mr Fiddis, a vote of thanks "was passed to the retiring committee. The report for the past year was then adopted. The following gentlemen were nominated: Messrs P. Johnson, T. Ashton, W. Vickery, T. Smith, G. Reid, J. Bond, G. Barker, D. Ritchie, C. B. Witheford. The number of candidates not beiug in excess of tho number required, lhey were^ declared duly elected. A meeting of the'iiewly-elecled committee was then held, when Mr T. Smith was elected chairman, Mr C. B. "Witheford secretary, arid Mr P. Johnson treasurer. It was decided to hold the meetings on the second Monday of each month. Mrs Wilson was reappointed janitress.'
