AN ART STUDIO.

Mr Albert J. Hanson, late of Sydney, having decided to remain in our midst for some time, has opened a studio at the Club House, Moray place, for the purpose of teaching landscape, still life, and flower painting. As may be seen from examples in the room, Mr Hanson docs not confine himself, to one medium, and i.s receiving pupils for oils and water colours. The studio, which has been specially fitted up for teaching, is well lighted from the roof, and is capable of accommodating a large number oi students.. An evening life class has already been formed, as well as an out-door sketching class, and the attendance at these classes speaks well for the future success of the artist Mr Hanson's work itself needs nc comment, having on previous occasions been greatly admired by lovers of art. Two of his work's are already hung on the walls of our public Art Gallery. Mr Hanson, besides having his pictures hung in the leading galleries of Australia, has also exhibited at the Eoyal Academy. l\o' doubt many of our students will appreciate the opportunity of studying under this talented artist.
