FULLER'S WAXWORKS.

There was a packed house at the Alhambra Theatre Saturday night. The principal attraction no doubt lay in the fact that Mr Fuller, with commendable enterprise, had engaged two new Australian artistes, who, after having undergone the disagreeable experience of being quarantined, were to make their first bow to tile \\ axworks' numerous patrons. The artisies m question were Mr George Dean and Miss -KA-a Wilson. The former visited New. Zealand some years ago with the Nellie Stewart upera Company, and has just concluded a 12 months engagement with Mr Harry Itickards in Melbourne. To those who find their pleasure in vaudeville entertainment this in itself is a, sufficient passport to favour. Mr Dean's lorte lies in artistic, descriptive, and comic songs and that he is particularly skilled in contributions of this nature was fully evidenced by the " turns" he did on Saturday night, -tie possesses an excellent voice and capital style, and his contributions were receiv-nl with every token of approval. One of his chief successes was "What, ho! she bumps"—a comic song that has attained to a good deal of uopu-la-nty, and which, it is said, Mr Dean " made " 111 Australia. He was equally successful iv the descriptive song ' How they say good-bye " and in the comic song "Making the ladiea laugii," all of which were loudly encored. Miss Eva Wilson also met-with a flattering reception. She possesses'a good stage acßearancc, a fresh soprano voice of admirable" quality, and sings with no little skill. Her principal successes were "A pet of. the army" and "A Saturday soldier," which were received with quite vociferous applause. The two artists, in. short, it may be said, are without doubt the best .in their line tliat have been introduced to the Duneiin public, and their accession to the ranks of the company should afford .patrons of the Alhambra. Theatre plenty of entertainment for a long time to come. The other membersof the company also'yot on excellently. It might be added that Mr Bluett will only appear for four nights longer, while Mr Will Stevens will reappear to-night. <
