The first statutory meeting of the Blue Bell Gold.Dredgmg Company was held on the 10th iuat. .at the legistered office, 3 Bond street. Messrs J. 11. Hancock (chairman), A. Robertsoh, s H. F. White, E. D. Mason, and C. B. Smith were elected directors for the ensuing year, and Mr A. T; Finch was appointed auditor. Those present agreed that the company had secured a really good property, and no time will be lost in placing a dredge on the claim.

The first statutory meeting of shareholders of the Broad Creek Gold Dredging Company (Limited) was held on Friday evening, Mr S. Mycis in the chair. The following were elected directors..—Messrs S. Myers, J. Cainoboll, AY*. B. Anderson, P. Sinclair, and F. .). Townsend. Mr R.-A. Crawsliaw was elected secretary. A shareholder stated at tho meeting (that he obtained 34 colours' to a dish of wash panned off by him about lft below the surface. The contract for the dredge is already let. Messrs Cutten Bros, are the engineers, and they expect to have the dredge working in about eight months' time.

. The Secretary . for the Electric Extended Company has advised us that the engine and boiler for the company have been forwarded to the claim. At the meeting of directors, held on Thursday, applications for the positions of dredgernaster and engineer were received," and held over for consideration. The engineer reported that most of the machinery is finished, and the rest of it should be ready to leave the yards of Messrs Cossens and Black in a week's time. The dredge should bo working in July.

An extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the Phoenix Water Race Company was held in Mr Mouat's office on Saturday for the purpose of electing directors. Mr Spencer Brent presided, and explained that it was necessary for them to appoint directors for the remaining portion of the year—until December. Messrs D. Brent,". Spencer Brent, A. Bartleman, AY. Goldsmith (previously directors), and J. Chalmers were elected. Mr Spencer Brent was subsequently appointed chairman of directors.

The Secretary, of the Clyde Dredging Company reports a return o£ 220z. River -Ift Cm above normal mark.

Mr. J J. Gibson, Lawrence, reports a return oi 21oz Otlwt 17gr from the Success dredge. The Secretary of the Waimumu Gold Dredging Company reports that the dredge obtained 2107, .gold for five days' dredging. Mi Lawrence Ryan, Alexandra, reports the following returns:—Perseverance, 420z 12dwtNil Desperandum, 12oz sdwt; Gt,iteo More' Boz 14dwt.

The Dunedin Stock Exchange report the following returns for last week:—Golden Treasure Compuny, 220z lodwt; Otago Dredging Company 19os for seven and a-half days. The, Secretary of the Maori Dredging Company reports a return of 470z for last week.

The Secretary of the Klondyke Dredging Company reports a return of lOoz Bdwt for the week.

. Trie Secretary of the Golden Gate Drerleing Company reports a return of 41oz J3dwf for six days' dredging. River steady. • The Secretary of the Tnapcka Dredging Company reports a return of lOoz 2d\vt for 125 hours' dredging during the week ending 20th inst.

The Secretary of the Golden Beach^Dredging Company re3iorts a return of 220z Hdwt 20gr.

The Secretary reports that the Empire dredge obtained 60oz GJdwt gold last week.

The Secretary of the Golden Terrace Dredging Company reports a returnfor the week ending 20th inst. of Boz lodwt 20g"r.

The Electric dredge has been removed up river, and starts dredging this morning. The Secretary reports that the Dunedin dredge washed up 30oz for 135 hours.

Mr Jabez Burton.-Boxburgh, reports a return of Boz lOdwt gold from the Ettrick dredge. Shifting dredge owing to the running drift. . The Dredgemaster of the Magnetic dredge reports that he started dredging on Friday, after repairs. No wash-urj.

The Secretary ot the" Junction Electric Dredging Company reports a return of 3Soz 7dwt frou> No. 2 dredge, and a return o? 9oz sdwt from No. 1 dredge. The Secretary of the Vincent Dredging Company reports a return of Gooz sdwt for 131 hours' dredging. The Secretary,'of the Enterprise Dredging Company reports a return of 21oz Udwt 15d\vt for 116 hours' dredging. The Secretary of the Sunlight Dredging Company reports a return of Boz lOdwt for 132 hours' dredging.

. The Secretary ot the Earnscleugh No. 2 Dredging Company reports a return of 530z lldwt Ggr for four days' dredging. The return from this dredge for the previous week was 4Soz 18dwt for three days' dredging. Mr J. D. Buchanan, Alexandra South, reports a return from the "Unity dTedge of 260z lOdwt. She obtained 13oz for the previous week's work.
