VOLUNTEERS.
The North Dunedin Rifles held their paraSe on Wednesday evening in the North Dunedin Drill Hall. Present—Captain Myers, Lieutenants Johnston and Slowly, 1 colour-sergeant, 4 sergeants, 3 corporals, 1 bugler, and 37 privates. Total 49. After inspection the sections were drilled by tneir respective commanders. A number of candidates for admission to the company were proposed, and the ballot resulted in 36 being elected members. At the conclusion of the parade the annual meeting was held. Captain Myers being in the chair. The following were elected to fill the various offices: Secretary, Sergeant H. Longworth (re-elected) : treasurer, Sergeant J. Kay (re-elected); Finance Committee, Colour-sergeant Shepherd and Sergeant R. Munro; .General Committee—Sergeant J. Gebbie, Corporals Benfell, Bland, and Steven, Privates Black and D. Munro; Shooting Committee—Sergeant Kay, Corporal J. Bland, and Private W. Black; storekeeper, Corporal J. Steven; auditors, Sergeant Gebbie and Private W. Mitchell.
