THE QUEEN OVERJOYED.
REJOICINGS AT CAPETOWN.
LONDON, March 15,
The Queen, who was overjoyed, ordered the news of the capitulation of Bloemfontein to be published immediately upon its receipt and circulated-.throughout the town of Windsor. There was great rejoicing in Capetown when the news from Bloemfontein was received. The bells were pealed, the houses decorated with flags and bunting, processions formed in the streets, and the whole city gave itself up to unbounded enthusiasm. ■SPREADING THE NEWS. LONDON, March 15. The Daily Telegraph cabled the" news of the capitulation of Bloemfonteht to all its correspondents in the various Europe.m capitals. They caused the message to bs widely circulated, and the impression created was immense. The press and wellinformed .public recommend the Boers to conclude peace on the best terms obtainable.
