(Before Mr A. Thomson, J.P.) Contravention of By-laws.—Five boysnamed Oakley Perry, Edward Perry, John Laple, James Ryle, and William Youngwere charged 'with bathing within the boundaries of the Borough of Port Chalmers on the 22nd inst-.—The boys? all pleaded guilty, and were convicted and discharged. His Worship at the same time severely rebuked the boy Ryle, who had been before the court on the 15th inst. charged with a similar offence.
. ilireatemug Language.—John Harrhy was charged with using threatening language to John Watson on the Beach road on the 23rd inst.—The defencTant pleaded not guilty.— After hearing; the evidence the Bench ordered defendant to pay a fine of ss, with 9s costs, or m default 48 houru' imprisonment.
