■ &lE,—As there is no contested election here, it necessitates that half on the roll must vote on the above question, otherwise the poll is declared void. Our liquor men have givn out that they wish thc-ir. supported to refrain from voting, hoping that half, will not <ro to the poll by j;q- doing;. but have they forgotten that it was through the same action on their part-tliat; Clutha was assisted in carrying '•no license " in the first place? To say nothing of the fact that the same thing might occur hero, I consider it is extremely cowardly to|ay tha least,-to try and .wriggle out of the aiihciilty, in this fashion, and I am fully determined to cast my vole, and hope hundreds) will be manly and womanly enough to do so too, and stand by the issue, whatever it may be. —I am, etc., i.
