AUCKLAND NEWS NOTES.
(From Otjr Own Correspondent.)

It has been found on taking a legal opinion that should prohibition be carried at the local option poll the grape winemaking industry in the Auckland provincial district will be killed.
The present outbreak of influenza is the most severe ever experienced in Auckland. In the opinion of medical men it owes :its extensive prevalence to the large number of political meetings being held.
