CRICKET.
The annual general meeting of the Port Chalmers Cricket Club was held in the mayor's room on Thursday night. The report and balance sheet for last season were read,and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season: —President, Mr E. G. Allen, M.H.K!; vice-presidents—Messrs Watson, Mill, Waters, Dodds, Hunter, Warren, F. W. Plaits, Rev. E. O. Tennent, and Captain Thomson; secretary and treasurer, Mr" E. M. Bundle; General Cc-Bimittee— Messrs Ward, -Martin, Main, Jack, and the secretary; auditors —Messrs Moir and Mooney. The election of captain, deputycaptain, and Match Committee was left over for a future meeting. The secretary was instructed to thank Mr Waters for kindly donating a bat for the first century scorer.
