The Union Steam Ship Company's steamship Mokoia left Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon for Melbourne, via Hobart, with passengers and cargo. The s.s. Taupo, from tho West Coast, arrived at the lower harbour yesterday afternoon, and steamed in to the graving dock for cleaning and painting. She comes up to Dunodin to-day, and sails again for Westport on The barque Cupica left for Wellington yesterday. The s.s. Pakeha has taken in a large quantity of grain and frozon-cargo at the George street wharf, Port Chalmers.
