City Corporation Notices. /WE CITY COUNCIL OF DUNEDIN. SPECIAL ORDER. PUBLIC NOTICE is HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the provisions of " Tho Municipal Corporations Act, 18.6," that on WEDNESDAY, the 17th day of May,l_9.,a SPECIAL MEETING of the City Council of Dunedin will be held in tho Town HaU at 7.25 o'clock p.m. for the purpose of CONFIRMING a SPECIAL RESOLUTION intended to operate as a Special Order adopted at a special meeting of the Council on the-sth day of April, 1899, in the following terms—viz.: "■ " Whereas the City Council of Dunedin did on tho twenty-fourth (24th) 0 day of March, 1899, receive in terms of section 265 of ' The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,' certain petitions dated the ninth (9th) day of March, 1599, and signed by the- Otago Harbour Board, as owner, and by the owners or occupiers of .the lands or houses abutting respectively on the streets hereinafter mentioned, the sum Of whose rateable value is'more than half the sum of the rateable value of all the . lauds and houses abutting on the said streets respectively, praying that tH_ said streets, being private streets, may be nnido public nnd whereas tho said streetß have been constructed in such manner and of such materials as the Council approves, bo it therefore resolved by way of Special Resolution to operate as a SPECIAL ORDER that from the first (lst) day of June, >_6S9— "The east side of Crawford street, from Rattray streot to the Anderson's Bay road; A'ogel street, from Rattray street to Police street (including tho approaches to tho railway overbridge between Jetty and Police otrcots); Jetty street, from Crawford street to Cumberland street; Water ' stroet, from Crawford street to Cumber1-".d street, Police street, from Crawl- J street to Cumberland street, Rattray street, from Crawford street to Wharf street (with the exception of tho railway crossing); Stuart street, from Castle street to tho railway reserve; the north side of the Anderson's Bay road, from Crawford street to the city boundary at Park street, Kensington; Cumberland street, from Rattray street to the Anderson's Bay road; and Bow lane, shall become and be public streets within the city of Dunedin."
