PRIZE TALE COMPETITION,

The Proprietors of the Otago Daily Times and Witness beg to announce that a Prize Tale Competition on the same lines as that of last year will be held in connection with their Christmas Annual, to be published at tho end ot the current year.

The Tales will again be profusely illustrated, a fact which necessitates the MS. being iv our hands somewhat earlier than would otherwise be necessary. The illustrating will be placed in competent hands, and as the whole issue will he ririntcd ou super-calendar paper, this feature ot the Christmas Animal may again he looked forv.-ard to as one of special mtez-est. Ten prizes will he awarded, ranging from £5 to 10s, and totalling -£27 10s.

THE PRIZE TALE COMPETITION will extend from April 1 to Juno 30, and PRIZES TO THE VALUE OF ..27 10s will be offered as below: — First Prize £5 0 0 Second Prize _ 10 0 Third Prize 4 0 0 Fourth Prize 3 10 0 Fifth Prize .. .. .. 3 0 0 Sixth Prize 2 10 0 Seventh Prize 2 0 0 Eighth Price 1 10 0 Ninth Prize .. .. '.. 10 0 Tenth Prize 0 10 0 And. the proprietors reserve to themselves the right to use any other tale in the competition at the same rate of remuneration as the 10th prize.
