ALHAMBRA THEATRE.
1 The first of a series of popular, concerts, which are to be given twice a week, was held at tho Alhambra Theatre on Saturday night, thero being a very fair attendance. The concert commenced with an amusing musical comedy, in which tho parts were sustained by Miasea Do Levy aud Paulino Ray, Messrs F, Blcwett, W. Watkins, Harry Thomas, and Karl Browne, all cf whom succeeded in gaining tho hearty approval of the audience. Mr Will Watkins, as Terence O'Flain. was perhaps the nio;t mirth-provoking, his singing of " Delaney's chicken " provoking great laughter. Mr Hairy Thomas as Mrs o'Flam, and Mr Karl Browne in a German impersonation were also decidedly amusing, while the comedy altogether seemed to bo much appreciated.. After the interval each of the members of tho com-" pany contributed solos—most of them of a comic character,—aud nearly every item was encored, Messra Will Watkins and F. Blewett being each recalled three times. The entertainment, which was of a refined character, concluded with a farce entitled " George, the Fireman," which sentjtho audienco home in a good humour. Tho nexfc concert will be held on Wednesday night.
