DREDGING RETURNS.

The secretary of the Golden Beach Hydraulio Elevating and Dredging Company received a, wire from the manager on Saturday stating ha had washed up 71oz 12dwt 7gr gold for 13-IJ hours' dredging. The return from the Dunedin Gold Dredging Company's dredge for five days last weelt was 18_oz. Tho river was in.flood on Saturday. •

The yield from the Clyde Dredging Company (Limited) last week was 86z. Thd river is lift 4in above,normal mark. The dredge is being shifted to Frenchman's Beach. The Stock Exchange report the following returns:—Otago Company, 320z for week; Golden Treasure, 16oz sdwt for the week (riven in flood); Golden Run pipes, 430z for 10 days. •

Mr Reeves reports the return from tho Enterprise dredge last week as 19oz 19dwt 12gr for 103 hours' dredging.

All extraordinary meeting oi shareholders in the Snowy Creek Company was held on Thursday, when out oi a total oi 21,000 shares 23,000 wer_ represented. The resolution passed by the directors that an offer made by Messrs Williams and Duffy for the erection of a fivehead battery and winding plant was rescinded, ths voting being—Por the resolution, 15,300, against 7050. The offer made by Mr B. Doffy to take over the property and form a new company of 48,000 shares of 5s each, of which present shareholders would be allotted 24,00(i shares paid up to 2s 6d each, and to provide a working capital of £3000 to develop the mm* and erect (machinery was unanimously accepted. An option of one mouth for the completion of the purchase was allowed, but all work at tho mm? in the interim would be paid for by Mr Duffy.
