JUBILEE INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.

A draft of the prospectus was carefully gone through and approved of, the secretary being instructed to have a few thousand copies printed and circulated. . , The Chairman (the Hon. T. F.rgus) explained tbat through tbe courtesy of the editor ot tne Otago Witness they had procured the names and addresses of a large number of the early settlers, and every effort would be made to gather as many of .the pioneers to the Jubilee as possible. Ifc was decided that a special circular be forwarded to all the early settlers cordially inviting them to attend the opening ceremony, and that a special room iii the building ba set apart for their acc-iurnodat—in. ■ . _ ArraugKiaents have now nearly been completed for the .iiffi--ht sections of the exhibition being undorthe direction of able and competent gentlemen • and, a. the exhibition will consist of the following courts—Historical and Maori., education!).], technical, work of art, fisheries, &C, alimeiitarv'products, mining, agncultur-l and dairy ___»-iin..y.--aud New Zsalau'l manufactures —it is 'quite evident that the exhibition will eveucuallv fullil one ot its principal objects, by showing the remarkable progress which has been made since the landing of our earliest settlers. . Messrs J.--C. Thomson, James Coomb., and -. M Thomson were appointed a musical and entertaining committee, and to suggest ft proposal for running that portion of the programme during the exhibition period.
