SETTLEMENT OP THE CLAIMS, Napier, September 2. The Floods Executive Committee completed arrangements yesterday for the purchase from the AM P. Society of annuities for the widows and children of the nion who perished by tlie recant foods. All the esses are settled except two, aud a settlement of these is necessarily postponed owing to the special circumstances. The aunuities will bs equal to 12s per week foe each widow for life, and 5s per week for eacfi child till it reaches the ago of 16. Fftjmentg ace to be made niont&'c
