INDER.ifc.OUTTEBr, Naseby.'.. Brokers: 1 QUICK & SMITH, Dunedin. Interim Secretary: E. B. CARGILL, Dunedin. The Comp»ny is formed for the purpose of acquiiinjc ami working as a dredging claim two claims on the Kyeburn River, at present held by : R. Hosie and T. J. Ferguson. The claims include tosethertwo miles of the river, commencing at the bouudary of the Pioneef Claim and terminating down at Harris's Crossing. The river is j particularly suitable for dredging. It is not suo- '. ject to dangerous floods, it is not burdened with , large boulders, and the wash is of that loo3e, gravelly nature which is most easily treated on ; the tallies ; the ground, too, is cold-bearing from top to bottom, ao that there .will, be no waste of energy in stripping. This riyer was one of the first places in which gold was discovered in Central Otago. In early days a Urge portion of the upper j end of tlie river was worked by the slow process , of stripping and cradling; and even working in [ this way it was no uncommon thing for minors to ; obtain magnificent returns. ; The Upper Kyeburu has proved itself to be one ; of the most prolific gold-producing fields in the i Otago district. • • ' ; The whole ground in the locality is highly auriferous ; and the area included in the present , claims would have been worked long ago but for : the difficulty of there beiiig too much watsr to 1 contend with for the ordinary process of box oluiciDg. .This difficulty will be overcome by the application of steam dredging, and excellent returns will be obtaiued from the claims bj' this process. The ground is knowu to the miners in the . locality to be richly gold-bearing, and about 501) Shares have been subscribed for in the district. In addition to this the claims have been carefully prospected by the Vendors,' and Mr W. H. Cutten's Report, showing the value and nature of the ground, can be seen at the Brokers' office. The only contract entered into is an Agreement dated the 16th day of August, 1597, between X T. Ferguson and R. Hosie, of the one part, and E. C. Cutten, on behalf of the Company, of the other The Memorandum of Association (which has been already prepared) and the aforesaid Agreement may be inspected at the office of the Company's Solicitors. The cost of floating and incorporation to be borne by the Company. The cost of application, rent to date, &c. (not exceeding in nil £70), will also be borne, by the Corapanj\ Shares will be allotted according to priority of application. Prospectus and Forms of .Application may be had from tho Secretary, the Company's Brokers, or the Solicitors^ 7a N B~A N X R UP T CV.
