Admiral Bridge has received a cable from the Admiralty announcing the appointment of Admiral Pearson to the Australian station, with the Royal Arthur as the flagship. No reason is assigned for the withdrawal of the Minerra. Tbe former is a first class cruiser, while the Minsrva belongs to the second class.
H.M.S. Mildura leaves here about the 21sfc inst. to relieve H.M.S. Pylades at Auckland.
