Mr Alfred Woods, supported b j a strong com* bination of dramatic artists, will make hh first appearance in this city on Monday ereuiag at the Princes? Theatre. The piece chosea for the initial performance is the sensational drama ' Hands Across the Sea," winch wai played foi 12 consecutive weofcs at the Theatre Royal, Melbourne, by Mr Charles Waruer. It tvss afterwards produced in this city by the «ams gentleman abont seven years ago, when making hil New Zealand tour, under the msinigcaioai; of Messrs Williamson, Gimer, and Musgrove. On that occasion Mr A. Woods was stage manager for Mr Warner. The dr-ma is fulf of interest and abounds with telliug aituations. The Sydney press speak very highly ot Mr Woods'* representation of the hero (Jack Dudley), ani as many of the members of the company arb koown to be capable actor* a satisfactory per« formance may be anticipated.
