The Southland News reports that a strange fish was found on the Riverbon beach. It has the head of an octopus, with 10 arms or feelers (the longest about lain), a body similar to that of a jellyfish, and a tail the shape of a skate. It poo-esses neither fins nor scales—the skin being perfectly smooth and of a slofioh white colour. The length of the body is 12_in, and from tip of feeler to tail 28fin, while ths girth is Bin.'
