AGRICULTURAL HALL.
A meeting o( tUo directors and debentureholders ol the Otago Agricultural Hall Company .was. held on. Saturday morning, and attended by the fieri. Thomas Fergus (in the chiir), Messrs Jamas Smith, W. Patrick, Jas. Shiel ( Jas, Duihie, John Angus, Thomas FogoJ. H. toofrleOD, B. Campbell; B. HalleDstero, Jas. fiislop, A. 0. Stronacb, J. *. Wright, li. Macleant and Allan Holmes.
The Chairman (the Hon, T. Fergus) explained < that thu directors considered it advisable to 1 call the debenture-holders together and give i them an opportunity of iußpeciiog the plans < prepared by Mr Hislop, who deserved every > credit for the energy ht) had displayed in pfe- I paring the plans in Bnch a limited time. An > estimate had been obtained, which was in 1 excess of what was first contemplated, but the J directors were satisfied that tha additional i expenditure Would be tbe means of consider- 1 ably increWsing the revenue t b*Bidej miking the ] building more suitable, and tliisjr would lilte to i have an expression of opinion ol' ivy sugges- i tiohs from the debenture>holders before flually i approving of stifle. The plans were carefully inspected by all thosa present, and fully explained by Mr Hulob. the architect, ■ : ■
