Mr Gladstone expresses profound astoDishment at M. Lobanoff and M. Nelidofi accepting honours from Turkey. Ha considera that this, together with her recant attitude on the Armenian question, makes Russia morally responsible for future outrages.

Gcmgunbana, the African chief, and his followers, who were captured by tho Portuguese at Delagoa Bay, were driven tbrongh the crowded streets of Lisbon. They are to be deported to Capa de Verde Islands.

OBITUARY. Sydney, March 15, D. 0. Donnelly, H.L.A. for Cowra. A CONSPIRACY TRIAL.
Tha hearing of the charges of conspiracy against the directors and officers of the defunct labour papar Daily Post has concluded, four of the accused being found guilty. S. Smith and W. A. Holman ware santenced to two years, and E. Ellis (editor) end W. Woolridge to 18 months each. The others were acquitted.
