ST. JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE.

The annual report of tbe Dunedin Corp; states that the year commenced with a men* berahip of 41 and ciows with 55. The practical have been attended by 23 members, and great enthusiasm has beea shown by both officers iod men in trying to make the work interesting end instructive. Dr Clogs, the ban. gnrgeoiv although not able to attend as many of ttii practices as he would have' liked, has beea always ready to assist the corps, and he deserved the thanks of svery member of the corps for his able lecture on August SO. Superintendent Blearns, vho has bad charge of the corps since its formation, aud who has only missed one night's practice, and that on an occasion on which he could not possibly attend, is also deserving of credit. The Saturday afternoon practices were commenced, toougu rather lata in the se«on. The finances are in a satisfactory coDditiua. As the only source of revenue is the sbiHing annual subscription of members a Urge credit balance cannot be expected. Official word from the chief, superintendent of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, St. John* Grate, that the annual report of last year was duly received at headquarters.
