TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,—There can be no doubt but what the nuisances in the Kaifcorni district are becoming intolerable, both to residents within a radius of two miles of the oattlo yards and to those who live lower dowu the stfeam. At noon today an abominable sickly stench pervades the atmosphere sufficient to tarn one's stotunch ; and this at diuner timo. This is by ho means an unusual occurrence. The condition of the strrtam (? sewer) is another abomination. It is nothing but a Btinking cesspool of filth. Cr Samson might now give his attention to tho*c complaints, and, with his usual pertinncity, find ont who is to blame for the> nuisance, and why the T»ieii County Couni il " wink the other eye "at the offenders. —I am, &c, March 10. Lohax.
