The P»U Mall Magazine for February, profusely illuetrated, opens with a poem, " A Derry D\me," treating of an incident of the siege of Derry " Penshuret and its Memories " is one of the most interesting articles in tha number, giving as it does glimpses of the early life of Sir Philip Sidney. Mr Jirvis contribute* a paper ou " The Beading Koom and Iron Library of the British Mu«um," aud the curious will peruse with care the second portion of Mr J. Holt Schooling's " Secrets iv Cipher." Mr Escort's " Some Hampshire Hospitalities " is a readable paper, and an expert gives a popular exposition of the operations of the eld lady in Threaduaodle street in a paper entitled " The Bank of England R»te." The serial " His Honour aud a Lidy" is concluded in this number. The twenty-fifth anniversary of the German Empire and its celebration in Berlin is taken advantage of to review brieflj the progresj of events since the Constitution was proclaimed in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.
