The Archer brings dutaila of a cannibalistic feast at the fsland of Nosa, in the BUmarck Archipelago. The chief Balak, who had the reputation of killing and eating fchrea whitfa and . icommlttin^ name^oni( other mntders, was csptnred by a cannibal tribe, who speared tvad clubbed him to death, whereupon the body was roasted and a big feast was held.
