Owing to a brisk demand having eet In for mining and investment stocks, we understand that a movement is on foot for the formation of « uew stock exchange, to bo known as the "Otago Exchange."
The Teviot Heralil reports :—" The Roxburgh dredge only obtained Sax last week, and intend shifting, as they c&unot bottom in their presont locality.—Tho Jidma uredgo washed up on Saturday for about 13pz. on account of the high stata of the river she is unable to botttim."
