PICNIC.
The employees of the Milburn Lime and Cement Company's works, Pelichet Bay, held their second annual picnic at Quarantine Island on Saturday. The outing proved a great success, the weather, being all that could be desired. The races were well contested, valuable prizes having been presented by i number of leading firms, the results being as follows :— Boys' Race (under 18).— E. Davidson 1, J. Dodds, 2. Youxg Ladies' Kace.—Miss Carr 1, Miss Williams 2 ■■' Cemext Handicap (200yds).—W. Strachan 1. D. Taylor 2. Married Men's Race.—J. Bradshaw 1, W. Lothian 2. Married Ladies' Race.—Mrs D. Tates I,'Mra W. Yates 2. Employees' Race (200yds).—J. Weitzel 1, D.'' Taylor 2. ' ' Old Buffers' Race.—Mr Hatton 1, J. Casey 2. Young Ladies' Race.—Miss Cooney 1, Miss Williams 2. Boys' Race.—F. Hannigan 1, T. Casey 2. All-cojiers Ladies' Race.—Miss Carr 1, Mrs Tilsen 2. Consolation Race.—P. Casey 1, J. Casey 2.
