The fortnightly meetipg of.tbe Loyal Hand and Heart Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., was hold in the Lodge room, Stuart street, on Tuesday. N.G. Bro. C. Simmons presided.- Duriug the evening a considerable amount of correspondence was dealt with. P.O.S. Bro. Black wrote that the annual meeting of the district would be held in the Loyal Albion Lodge on Wednesday, March 25, at 2 p.m. P:G. Bro. Green (of the Loyal Valley Lodge) and P.G. Bro. Cronin (of Loyal Caversham Lodge) responded to the second toast of the evening. P.G.M. Bro. Hopcraft responded to tbe third toast on behalf of tbe district. Receipts; £44 16s lOd. . . .

The quarterly meeting of the Ivanhoe Lodge, U.A.0.8., waa held in the lodse room, Albany street, on Tuesday, A.D. Bro. N.A. Hansen presiding, when there was a good attendence of members aud visitiug brethren. The lodge was in mourning out of respect to the late P.A. Bro. C. 11. C-iodby. The secretary was instructed to convey to Mrs Godby tbe heartfelt sympathy and condolence of the lodge in her sad bereavement. JJ.l*. Bro. A. J. Wynn installed Bro. W. Boenicke as. vice-arch-bard. A committee was appointed to carry out tbe necessary details to honour tbe installation of the D.P. elect. Votes of thanks were passed to the installing ollicer, D.P. Bro. Wynn ; also the visitiug ofliceri". Tbe receipts were £45.

A well attended meeting of Freemasons livingin the Borough of West Harbour was held on Monday evening at Jackmsm's Hall, Kothesay, P.M. Bro. D. Harris Hastings presiding. It was unanimously decided to petition the Grand Lodge of New Zealand for a charter for a local lodge to be called Lodge Maori. Bro. T. Boss was nominated aa first B.W.M'., and Bros. S. Bolton and R. Jack J. and K. Warden respectively. A small committee was appointed to arrange details reapeotine furniture, Ac, and report to a future meeting. It was decided to open the lodge ou the 24th prox. *
