The Otago Model Yacht Club held another successful meeting on " Lake Logan " on Saturday afternoon last. A large number of spectators witnessed tha proceodinga fcom the many vantage points around the lake. The wiiad was vevy uncertain, and tired the patience of tho various model sailers to a great extant. Another fact which also hampered the successful handling of the small craft was the great aocumul.ition of weeds that has taken plaoe in the centre of the Uke. It is to be hoped that the Conservation Coiomittse will have thiß nuisance cleared away.

Saturday's meeting was really to §ail for the President's (Mr Montague) Cup, which has to ba won twice ia succession or three times at intervals. A Consolation Kace followed. This I -was open to all except the winner of t!io I Challenge Cap Eace.. Time allowance, 10 scoonds to the inch over a two-mile course. The j officials for the day were:—Umpire, Mr F. The Britannia took the lead from the start, and was first round the murk buoy; the Neptune followed one and a-half miuates after. Then came the Seabreeze »nd Martha. The same order was maintained during the run back; but on beating down the Martha and Sunbeam both displaced the three footer, and the race euded as above, tbe times taken being :—Britannia, Ihr Smin; Martha, lhr 9min; Sunbeam, lhr 13Jmin.

The Consolation Kace brought out seven models, Tbe winner being Mr M'Millan's Seabreeze, which beat Mr Wood's Neptune by- two and a-half minutes. ! he Neptune led round the mark bnoy, closely followed by the Seabreeze. On the run home the Neptune came to erief in the weeds, acd was easily passed by the Seabreeze. The Suubsam waa third, with the Martha fourth.

A large number of entries hava been made for the Mode) Yacht Race to be held in connection with the Dunedin regatta on Wednesday afternoon. No doubt aoms good racing will be witneosed.
