THE BRISBANE DISASTER.
A MESSAGE FEOM THE QUEEN,
Treaa Aesociation-By Telexraph-Copyriitht. 1 ' BUISBANE, February 17. A ferry boat at Maryborough with 10 people on board was crossing the river, when it swept against the piles of the bridge and capsized. AH were rescued with the exception of a man named Oliver.
The following cable message wa« reosived from the Right Hon. Mr Chamberlain ■— "I have received the Queen's command"to esprosß her deep regret at hearing of the ferry boat disaster and hor sincere nympatby with the relatives and snfferers. I also desira to express my own sympathy and oondolenco."
A cablegram of condolfinoa has also been received from Mr Seddon.
Two young women named M'Gbb, sisters are missing. It is believed they were drowned by the Pearl aocident.
Another body, supposed to be that of Newman, bas been recovered.
