The s.B. Kawatiri, coal laden from Weatport, arrived alongside the Bowen pier at 3 p.m. yesterday, and commenced to discharge her cargo into the hulks. She left Westpoit at 8.15 p.m. on the 15th inst., had light variable winds until breasting Akarqa.at 6 p.m. on the 16th, when she met a strong southerly breeze, which held until noon on the 17tb, when it moderated, and was followed by a light N.E. breeze, which held to arrival. The barque Cyniaca, which, is to call here for orders from Table Bay, Cape of Good Hope, via East London, was at the latter port on November 20 (as we have already stated). Since then we have had no further newß of her. . No doubt Bhe will soon put in her appearance at the heads. The barque Nellie .Brett has put out nearly 200 tons of cargo at the cross wharf. It is turning out in splendid order. , The b.s. Anglian, from Sydney, via the Bast Coast ports, arrived at Port Chalmers on Sunday evening, and " steamed up to the crocs wharf yesterday morning. Her purser reports she left Sydney at 8.40 p.m. of the Bth inst., had moderate to fresh easterly winds with cloudy' and rainy weather and head seas on the passage across, and arrived at Auckland at 5.15 p.m. o£ toe 10th inst.; left that port at 2 p.m. of the following day, bad light southerly winds with fine weather, called at Gisborne, Napier, Wellington, and Lyttelton ; left tbe latter port at 1 a.m. of the lfith inst, had fresh head winds and seas with rainy weather, and arrived as above. The Shire line fine .steamer Buteshire, from London, via Melbourne, Newcastle, Brisbane, Rockh«nip:on, and Sydney, reached the heads at 1 p.m. yesterday, and anchored until 5 p.m., whon, ths tide being favourable, she steamed inside the heads under the charge of 1 not M'Donald. and w>s berthed at the George street pier to take in cargo for Lindon. She is etui under the comru*nd of Captain J. C»thb»rt, R.N.R.; but since her visit here, some 12 moutlm since, tfeere has been a slight chauga in the personnel at her officers. Mr Pyke still occupies his o!d position a? chief officer ; Mr Willis, who was second, having left, Mr Boyd, who was third, has beeo promoted to second, snd Mr Pingley, who was fourth, comes as third, and Mr Roftertsoa is now fourth officer. After taking on board cargo and a supply of coal, left again for Brisbaue, arriving there on the 21th,; took in cargo, and left again, and experienced stormy gales, with thick heavy r*in to arrival at Kockhaiuptou on the 3L«t; remained there until February 5. when she returned to Sydney, arriving at-that port on the bth ; coaled and left again on the 12th; experienced principally E.N.E. winds acrots, and breasted Puysegur Point at 4.45 p.m. on the 16cb, and thence S:B. winds to arrival.
