Nancarraw (the purser) reports she leit Melbourne at 7 p.m. of the 31st ult, and cleared Port Phillip Heada at 10.50 p.m., passed Swan Island at 3.15 p.m. of the Ist inst., and arrived at Hobart ' at 8 a.m. of the 2nd inst, and left again for New Zealand at SHI p.m. same day; had stroDg winds from N.W. to S.W. with heavy seas, breastsd the 'Solanders at noon of the sth inst., and arrived at the Bluff at 4.35 p.m. same day; left acain at 3.30 p.m. of the (ith inst., encountered a strong • westerly gale with a heavy head wind alonj the ' coast, and arrived at headquarters as above. The barque Rangitiki was still awaiting orders at Otago Heads yesterday morning. The barque Tillie Baker, from New York, for this port was spoken ou September 21 in 36 north lat. 52 west long.
