Owing to the explosion of a boiler the Gumry Hotel at Denver was destroyed. The debris canght fire, and t the flames spreading rapidly, rescue was impossible.'Forty persons lost thoir Uvea. The origin of the explosion was a defect in the boiler. August 20. Ifc was a drunken engineer who. caused the explosion at Denver by inattention to the bolter.
