For Southland, Australian colonies, India, China,' Japan, Mediterranean Ports,' Straits Settlements, Continent of Europe, United .Kingdom, Mauritius, and South Africa, per Wakatipu, at 2.20 p.m. ■ Money orders, registered letters, books and j -newspapers at 1.20 p.m. Parcel post mails for the Australian colonies j ■will close at 3.30 p.m. on the 19th. '•"" ! Late letters, C.P.0.. at 2.30 p.m. Due in London on October 2. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, overland to Christchurch (to connect with the Corinna at Lyttelton at-10.30 a.m.). Late letters, mail van, north express, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Auausi 21. DIRECT MAIL SERVICE. The direct steamer Tainui will leave Lyttelton for Plymouth, via Rio de Janeiro, on Thursday, 22nd August. Mails close here as under :— For United Kingdom and foreign countries, Ac. on Wednesday, 21st, at 10 a.m. Monoy orders at 9.15 a.m. on Wednesday, 21st. Book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. / Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (2Jd) as a late fee, can be posted in the mail van attached to the North train, leaving Dnnedin railway station at 11 a.m. on the 21st. The above mail will close at the branch post offices, North Dunedin and South Dunedin—for money orders and registered letters at 5 pjn. on the 20th, letters at 9.30 a.m., and newspapers at 5 a.m. on,the 21st. At the Port Chalmers office at 8.45a, m. on the 21sfc ; money orders at 4 p.m., and reedsturedlettera at 5 p.m. on the 20th.
