Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report that prices at their auction salu yesterday ruled as under :—
Oats.—Scad Tartars and black, Is SHU to la lid ■ prime milling, Is (Jd to Is 9Ad; good.l.wvi, Is Sd to Is SJd: inferior to medium, Is GM to Is 7Ad per bushel (sacks extra). liarley.—Medium to good maltitig 2a 5d to 2s fld; feed and milling, 2s to 2s id per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.—Best Derwents, £1 15s to £2 2s fid • best kidneys, JSllOa to £2 per ton (sacks in). Chair.—Kest oaten sheaf, £2 17s 6d to £$ ■ medium, £212s 6d to £2 15s par ton (bags efctra).' lurmps.—Best swedes (bagged), 14s per ton. The Mutual Agency Company of New Zealand (L»ht£l>) report prices as under at their weekly auction sale yesterday :— Oats remain firm, and prices are on a par with those obtained last week. Bidding briak. Long Tartars, Is lid; primn sparrowbills, Is 93d (ex iruck); medium, Is Sd to Is S'd; crushed, Is 7d. Wheat.—There is no chiiTi^e to report, and prices continue about the same level. Prime velvet ami Tuscan (nominally), 3s lid to da; led sorts, 3alod ; medium, 3s 7d to 3s 7A-J. Barley.—Market continues without animation, and Bales arc hard to make at for best, 2s fid to 2s 9d; medium 2s 3d to 2s lid ; feed, Is 9d to" 2s. Potatoes are in very full supply, and prices have fallen 2s Cd to 5s per ton since hist week. Northern are worth 4Us to 42s (id; good,. 35s to 37? Cd; medium and inferior, 30a to 32a M. Chaff.—Although large supplies have come to hand this week pricea have only fallen another 2a tid, and we hope to see a recovery ere long. Prime, 60s to b'ls; medium, Ess to 595; inferior and cow chaff, 45s to 50s.' Turnips.—Swedes (in bags), 14s to 15s. Demand not so good, and prices have fallen 2s since last Week. Carrots, 34s psr ton.
