Sydney, July 21. The mauager of the South Broken Hill' mine attributes tho recant accident to the presence of gas in the ore, the pressure causing a collapse. The evidence adduced at the inquest- showed that the men were warned in plenty of time to escape, bnt thought they were safe, and remained chatting and smoking. Tbe verdict, returned was that tbe disaster wss accidental, and no blame was attached to any parson.
