Aotea left the Bluff on Tuesday evening for Lyttelton, at which port she completes her i loading, and sails on Saturday for London. The s.s. Hauroto, Captain Anderson, from Sydney, via the East Coast, arrived alongside the George street pier at 9 a.m. yesterday, hhe left I Sydney at 6 p.m. on the 3rd inst., experienced moderate variable winds with fine weather across, and arrived at Auckland at midnight on the Bth ; remained there until 5.30 p.m. on the 9th, when she left for the south ; called at Gisborne on the 10th, Napier 11th, and reached Wellington at 2 p.m. on the 12th ; sailed again at 3.30 p.m. on the 13th, arrived at Lyt'clton on the morning of the 14th, and sailed again for headquarters at 4 p.m. same day, arriving as above, having met light to strong southerly winds down the coast. The Union liner Monowai has added another to her many fast passages by covering the distance from the Bluff to Sydney—llo4 miles—in the record time of 84 hour 3. The Telegraph reports thatthe Monowai arrived at Sydney on the evening of Mnnoay, 6th inst., and her appearance at the wharf caused some surprise, it being understood that she would not reach port until next day.
