(Peb United Press Association.) Auckland, May 14. The Hon. Sir P. Buckley arrived from Rotorua by train, after having spent a couple of weeks at the Sanatorium taking a course of baths. Sir Patrick was suffering from rheumatism, of which, however, lie has been completely cured. An influential deputation waited on Sir P. Buckley this morning with reference to the Wednesday half-holiday. The : deputation having representad to the Attorneygeqeral fche great hardship suffered by tradesmen under the act, Sir P. Buckley was asked to use his influence with fche Government in the direction of stay ing proceedings against pboee who open on Saturday afternoons.
