UNIVERSITY OF NEW ZEALAND

A special session of fche Senate of the Univer-. sity of New Zealand was held last; month in the couucil room of the University of Otago, Dunediu, the chancellor (Sir J. Hector) presiding. Ths business of the session was as follows :— 1. Consideration of the detailed reports of the examiners in England for fcho November examinations 1894. 2. Conferring of .degrees, honours, and senior scholarships. ....... 3. Adoption of the annual report .of the senate to his Excellency the Governor. The senate considered in committee these matters, and on resuming passed the following resolutions :— 1.
