Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subject to Bny necessary alterations), as under t — For Northern Ports, overland, daily, at 10.30 a.m., C.P.O. Late letters, mail van, North train, at 11 a.m. This Day (Tuesday), May 14. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, overland, at 10.-0 a.m. (to connect with the Flora at Lyttelton). Wednesday, May 15. DIRECT MAIL SERVICE. Tbe direct steamer Kaikoura will leavo Lyttelton for Plymouth, via Ilio de Janeiro, on Tiiursday, 16th May. Mails closo hero as under:— , For United Kingdom and foreign countries, &c. on Wednesday, loth, at lv a.m. Parcels mails for" the United Kingdom, &c. will close at 9,30 a.m; Late letters, mail van, north express, at 11 a.m. Correspondence per Kaikoura must be specially addressed. Canada, South America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, at. 10 a.m. Money orders at 9.15 a.m.; book packets, and newspapers at 9 a.m. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m. oh Tuesday, 14th. ' Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (SAd) as a late fee, can' be posted in the mall van, atiacbed to the north express leaving Dunedin railway station, at 11 a.m. on the loth. The above mail will close at. the branch post offices, North Dunedin and South Dunedin—for money orders ahd 'registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 14th, lettets at 9.30 a.m , and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 15th. At the Port Chalmers office at 8.45 a.m. on thu 15th; money orders at 4"p.m. and registered letters at, 5 p.m. on the 14th. The above mail will be due in London on the 19th June. - Thursday, May 16..
