Our Invercargill correspondent telegraphs :— | *• Messrs .Tpthul, "Watson, and Cb. report having ' sold by auction on Saturday the highly-improved farm of the late Mr Edwin Sutton, comprising 1 ,about 293 acres, and situated close to Drummond, for £7155" per acre. The land was started at £5, ( ' and, after keen competition, was knocked down 'at the above figure to Mr Charles Sutton. - The J. C; Ward Farmere' Association submitted to public auction on Saturday about GOO!) acres* of the .Morton Mains estate. . The part j ► offered lies between the railway,and the Invercar- j gill ; Edehdale road, and is cut up into convenient . , sections, all within easy distance of the Morton ' Mains station and the Woodlands and Kdendale dairy factories. A large number attended tbe • sale,' but' tie bidding was not encouraging, and - only about .00 acres were sold at from 2-is to £2. 103 per acre. Inquiries have sinflo been received' for section's.
