(Pkb United Fjijess Association.) Wa_._a_.__, March 13, The Ho-i. Blr Seddoo, accompanied by the Hon. Mr M'Kenzie, arrived this afternoon, and conducts the eeremouy of laying the foundation ttone of the ne-v hospital to-morrow. At a meeting of the Wanganui Women's Political Lea;;ue to-night, the following jesolution was carried, and will be presented by a deputation to ths Premier to-morrow morning: " The Wanganui Women's Politicsl League desires to thank the present Government for tha facilities tbey are affording the women of the colony to eater the civil service, and while trusting tbat still otber departments will shortly bj thrown open, would respectfully urge that where tbe work of both sexes is of equal value equality of pay shall be the rule." Timabu, :Msrch 13. Mr P. R, Flatman addressed the Pareora electors at Temuka last night. There,was a large: attendance, and a vote of thanks and conlidence v/as pas.cd, very few voting.
