SHOOTING COMPETITION.

The Fortobello Rifle Clnb fired their fourth competition for prizes on Saturday. Tho light and wind were puzzling, making good scoring almost impossible. Tho conditions were : Seven shots at 200, 400, and 500 yards; small inner. Thci following are the highest scores : —

First Class.— Mr J. H. Seat-on 57, Mr .Tohn Christie SS, Major M'Carlney 50, Mr W. G. M'Cartney (I point handicap) 4S. Second Ctas.-Hr S. T. Wilson 47, Mr J. S. M'Oartnay (1 point handicap) H, Mr John Cross 41.
