The Share List is now open, and applications ore being received for the First Issue of KOUU Shares of £5 each. ~14. The Association is established in the interests of all classes of Farmers, Producers, and Consumers, is a medium for the transaction of all descriptions of business upon a purely co-operative basis (whereby Shareholders, in addition to a dividend on their Bhares, participate in the profits pro rata in accordance with the volume of business contributed by eiich), thus reducing the cost to the lowest possible limit. The chief objects of the Association are :— To offer special facilities to members for the sale by auction or private treaty of wool, grain, frozen meat, live stock, dairy and all kinds of produce, either locally or in oversea markets. To afford assistance to members and clients by making cash advances against frozen meat, wool, grain, live stock, dairy and other produce consigned to it (or sale or shipment, and upon such other securities as may from time to time be approved. To act generally as a direct medium between producers, British, foreign, and colonial manufacturers, exporters or importers, and consumers for the sale of produce and wholesale purchase and distribution of such classes of merchandise a3 may htreafter be determined. To act as brokers or agents for the transaction of all descriptions of business likely to benefit the Association or any of its members, and generally to extend the operations of the Association in any direction calculated to conserve or promote the interests of its members, and to do any or all of the things more particularly described as the "objects" set forth in the Memorandum of Association and printed on the hack of the prospectuß. The advantages offered by the Association are a profitable field for the investment of capital, as evidenced by the success of kindred institutions; the conduct of shareholders' business upon the most advantageous terms; careful protection of all the interests of its members; special facilities for the sale of all varieties of producs and purchase of merchandise; the opportunity afforded members of saving money out of their current expenses ; the influence of an association working a co-operative business in the interests of producers and consumers, and Dot mainly for the benefit of a few individuals; unity of interest and systematic action in combating the efforts of trade combinations and rings unduly taxing producers or consumers, and the aid of a representative and independent institution to take decisive measures on behalf of its members to regulate trade matters affecting their interests generally; annual cash bonuses to members on the business they contribute and merchandise they purchase through the Association. This Association has been modelled upon the lines of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association of Christchurch, and it is proposed to follow generally the business policy of that successful institution.
