The first day's racing of the T. J.C. meeting was held to-day. The weather was threatening oil tha morning, and rain fell during the afternoon. There was a good attendance. Results .—

Fie-st Handicap Hurdles, of 7(lsovs. About one mile and a-lialf.—Bonovoree, 9.7,1; Tititea, 11.12, 2;. Mollyhawk, 9.0, 3. Also started: Marachal Wiel 9.7 and Dick 0.0. Won easily. Time, lmin 55 3-ssec. Dividend, £119s.

First Handicap Hack Huedles, of 40sovs. One mile and a-quarter.—Dart, 10.0, 1; ConBCript, 10.0, 2; Kathleen, 9.9, 3. Entry 10.3 and Kiiiton 9.0 were the other starters. Won without difficulty. Time, 2min 27j>sec. Dividend, £1 13s. T.J.G. Handicap, of 250«0v5. One mile and ahalf.—Monte Carlo, 7.13, 1; Irish Twist, 5.7, 2; Ben Godfrey, 7.13, 3. Also started : The Dancer 8.7, Waiuku 7.9, Prioress 7.7. The latter horse waa left at the post and did not take part in the race. Won by a head. Time, 2min 40} sec. Dividend, £5 Bs.
